Personal Biography: James is an innovative, multi-skilled scientist and engineering professional offering a broad range of mathematical expertise, academic & industry experience and leadership. Working on providing end-to-end design solutions, forensic investigation, technical strategy, design concepts, technical & computational peer review, standards and code interpretations.
With his vast experience earned mainly through his tireless work in connectivity in weapon design, forensic high load structural connection failure investigation and remedial design, James’ unique connection designs are at the forefront of assembly and subassembly manufacture in not only the construction industry, but also the defence, automotive and the energy sectors, which have benefitted greatly from his innovations.
James is a world leader in high load structural connection design and is heavily focused on continual research and development and challenging the existing paradigms of engineering. James has also been regarded as a leading-edge physics professional having utilised this skill set to drastically alter some of the world’s largest projects including the Perth Stadium Roof Truss Completion.
James is also the instigator and co-founder of the Australian Engineered Fasteners & Anchors Council (AEFAC) based and is the main instigator and founder of the newly developed (2016) Modular Construction Codes Board (MCCB). James has influenced and/or been responsible for over 30 patents and more than 1200 major projects.
